UTILITY INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

1. If necessary to enter the railroads property to conduct a survey for installation of utilities, please contact the railroad at 601-936-6781 at least 24 hours before entering the property.
   

2. Surveyors must be alert to possible movement of trains and equipment on any track at any time and take necessary precautions to avoid personal injury or obstruction to the railroad.
   

3. No motor vehicle, including All Terrain Vehicles, shall be driven between or over the rails without permission of the railroad.
   

4. An application must be completed prior to installation of any utilities.
   

5. Please use current "E911" street addresses and road names when completing the application.
   

6. Allow sufficient lead time for application to be processed. Generally this must be at least 72 hours if hand delivered.
   

7. Depending on the work and proximity to our tracks, we may require that Railroad Protective Liability Insurance be obtained in addition to general liability insurance.
   

8. We may require an employee be present during the installation of the utilities. If an employee would not normally be in the area, the person/company making the installation will be charged $25.00 per hour with a minimum fee of two hours.
